Iguana Zone: My name is Eric, and I live in south east Michigan. I just bought a juvinile iggy about a month ago. He is doing good but I need some ideas for an enclosure. There is a someone named Mark ( I think). I like his enclosure a lot. The one with the pvc pipes and plastic covering. Does anyone know where I can get a hold of some of that plastic?? Hope someone writes back Later...Eric

I'd go to Home Depot or Lowes for the PVC pipes and joints. I built an enclosure out of wood myself but I like MAR's so much better I'm thinking of turning one half of a room into my Puppy's room using PVC and plastic coverings and using the wood one for outside sun exposure. I LOVE that he has a chair INSIDE the enclosure and can walk in, it's just awesome!

I really like mark's setup too. I have no idea what the plastic covering is, it almost looks like a tent or something, sewed together with some plastic stuff, i'm thinking about copying his design lol. I just need to know where he got that plastic from....Eric

I've read that some of those pvc pipe cages can really add up. Upwards of $300.

wow, I havnt really looked into expense yet, but thats crazy. I guess it would be worth it for a nice enclosure. I'll have to check it out. Have you seen mark's hexagon setup? It's made out of the same material as his new one, and its really nice too I want to build that one. I hope its not overly expensive....

Depends on how you want it to be. Long-term or breakdownable like the one you like. Personally I think if you build a great fondation for a set price that shouldn't change because it's one solid piece. Then you can redo the insides multiple times. I'm in the process of planning my own ig home. My bf and I both have expensive taste =P We want wood, Painted, Plexiglas, Barnyard type front door. Mesh screen and lots more.

Hey there Eric, thanks for the compliments all. My cage is entirely cotton fabric and PVC product with a tarp floor and nylon zipper. My cage is both collapsible and for long term use while being infinitely modifiable. Because of the joints and additional PVC the pentagonal corner cage is almost as expensive to construct as the rectangular cage. But the corner cage is 1/3 the size and too small for an adult ig. I only spent $150 on materials for my current cage BUT put over a week worth of evenings in to it, all this after hours of design and almost 9 years of cage experimentation.
