Hi everyone, i have been searching through these forums for a while but just became a member. Here is a little background info. I am 14(some of you may frown upon me for having an ig while im this age, but i promise i take great care of him and am always researching) My iguana Kiwi is about 3 years old. I got him as a B-day present when i was eleven. I do admit that i have made a few mistakes with him,( like having the ambient temp to low , but he has always been on a good diet ;D), that is why he is a little small. Please dont get mad at me for my mistakes . Everything is on track now and the vet said he is healthy, just i little small. Well im not going to ramble, so thanks in advance for any advise that i may and have already learned from this forum! Mark

Hi Mark It's good to hear that you do research and learn the best ways to take care of Kiwi. I'm glad this site has been a help to you. Welcome to IZ.

Hi there, I'm not new here but it could get confusing as I mask my user name and posts show up as Mark, hmmm. Good thing there are avatars.
I got Bob when I was around 13, nine years latter he is still going strong. No frowns here. At any age there are people who can keep an exotic pet and those who aren’t willing to do the work necessary.
Welcome to IZ.

Welcome Mark! Heck everyone makes mistakes. You should hear some of the thing I did when I got my first one back in the 70s. The important thing is that you realize the errors, correct them, and continue to do the best you can to provide good care! I know people that are a lot older thatn you are and STILL have no business being the caretaker of a living thing! ANY living thing!

Hi Mark! Glad to meet ya! My son (16) and daughter (9) are the reasons that I have my Kyoto. As we were researching iguanas, they decided that they did not have the time for one. But I discovered that I DID, lol. And even with the research, and age, there are ALOT of things that I did wrong at the beginning, and many more things that will probably come up over the years. And YOU have more experience that I do! The best thing that I did right was find IZ. This is a great group of people who have tons of experience, and don't mind answering questions (THANKS ALL ) WELCOME, MARK Cyndi
