Babies especially seem to prefer eating at night. It's just another safety device they use in the wild. Yours will get past that. Tesa has the links you need. Be sure to read them thoroughly. Welcome aboard... .

Grapes are ok and most igs love them, but since they are a fruit, they should be fed as only a minimal part of the diet. Raisins: I'm sure they'd eat them, but they are a dried fruit. Why give them the fruit without the benefit of the water content?? ;D

Hey welcome to Iguana Zone! Louie loves grapes but like everyone has said as a fruit only sparingly!

Grapes are one of those things that should be fed very sparingly...and not just because they're a fruit. There has been recent articles where grapes have shown to be very hard on the kidneys. They have actually been known to kill dogs in a very fast run down of renal failure. Here's an article: www.aspca.org/site/DocServer/grapes.pdf?docID=189Now...because dogs are mostly carnivores, this may have a bearing on how they can process grapes so poorly, but I had read (and stupid me forgot to bookmark it) a similar warning for igs just recently. Not as toxic, but in large amounts still makes the kidneys work hard to process them. I'll try to get some info on them, but I wanted to put in the plug now.

Yup...grapes are not good in large amounts for the same reason as bananas. Too many Tanins. They're OK for an occasional treat, but not as a regular part of the diet.
