Hi, my name is Linda, and I am from Lynchburg, VA. I recently adopted an iguana from a guy who lost his job and could not afford to take care of him any longer. I say him, but could be a her, to young to tell just yet, anyhow my iguanas name is Zippy, and I look forward to posting any question I have regarding Zippy, and I love reading the post that are already on here, I just found the sight last night, so I have some catching up to do, well again, I look forward to hearing from all of you, Linda and Zippy.

HI Linda I'm glad you found us. As you look forward to posting questions, we look forward to providing answers as best we can. How big is Zippy? I'm assuming you've already read thru the diet and lighting requirements? (very important stuff)

Hi, yes I have read alot on iguanas before bringing Zippy home. He/she is about 7 inches svl, and just a sweetheart for now. He is fed lots of fresh veggies and greens, this week he is having mustard, collards, and chicory, for his greens, and butternut squash, parsnips, and snow peas for veggies. I don't feed him fruit everyday, only as snacks, because he loves his fruit. I look forward to all the info I can get on him, and I enjoy reading all the post here, I know in the future I will be needing it, THANKS. Linda.

Welcome Linda. There is a great group of people here! Might I suggest James Hatfeilds, Green Iguan The Ultimate Owners Manual. Best book on the market to date.
