I am currently builing a 6'H x 8'L x 40" D habitat and was wondering what you thought of this heating/ lighting setup.
Also keep in mind my apartment stays pretty warm.
i will be using 160w mega ray on one side for basking and uvb, opposite side will be 150 w halogen spot for second basking site without uvb, and finally 2 x 5000 kelvin tubes .
night heat will be supplied with a ceramic heater w/built in thermostat set at about 75-78 this cage will be sealed with vents the same as Ultimate iguana habitat.
the basking side without uvb will be set to 95 controlled by thermostat
My question is 160w mega ray gonna be to hot or shold i go with 100w for this size of habitat

I would say the best way to answer this is to get it set up, and test it. Place a thermometer in the spot your iguana would be to see how hot it gets. I would also be a bit concerned about the possibility of your iguana preferring to bask in the spot without UVB because that would be a problem.
