I have let Gwen sleep on my dresser a couple times in the summer. Sometimes she just wants out of her enclosure and no matter how many times I put her back in she always decides the grass is greener on the other side and either goes to nap on my bed or one of the dressers . I wouldn't let her sleep on my bed while I was sleeping though because I'm afraid I might kick her or push her and she might get freaked out or pissed off and bite me. She has never tried to bite me before and I hope to keep it that way. P.S. now that I think about it she has given me a shudder bob and gaped at me once when she was in breeding season but that was so out of character for her I just kind of chuckled and let her be alone with her moodiness. NEVER underestimate an iguana's potential to bite, if you think one might bite you (especially when they start getting bigger) then back off and let him/her be alone. A bite from a full grown iguana can easily land you in the emergency room; their teeth may be tiny but they are razor sharp.

Yes I know all too true spree has bitten me twice now. But lesson learned! And I do agree with the iguana sleeping on the bed and not wanting to pis them off. But I will say that when spree wants to she will sleep on top of her vic, then in the morning be near me like "He..Hem, I want food now" lol
