Good information to have. Too bad the laws don't reflect the majority of the guidelines listed...:-(

I found the link searching for help Unfortunately I cant seem to get any help, which is why I was searching the web to find out who to contact about animal neglect at the pet store I now no longer will buy anything from. There were problems before, they fixed the problems but today when I went in I was mad as hell. I saw a tank with 3 Ball pythons 2 healthy and one that I am sure is dying. He looked bloated and had his head tilted up mouth open and labored breathing, Then the Iguanas (again), feces everywhere, and mold growing on the food. We called a couple places and either the number was disconnected or we had to leave a message. and never got called back yet. any ideas on who I can contact in PA?

Have you called the local humane society? Herp society? I don't even go into pet stores much anymore. When I do...I often bring a camera. I've seen amazing changes when I've been able to get some pictures in before I was asked to leave...;-) When they realize that a picture can do more damage than any amount of words...it can turn some stores around. Especially if they think you will be back. To show the pictures to the proper authorities, including the police! It is their job to uphold the animal laws if an animal organization is not available to do so. Don't let them tell you otherwise. Sometimes they try that route because they don't want to deal with it. Maybe you'll have luck with one of these: www.anapsid.org/societies/penn.html

I talked to my Aunt and my cousin has a friend that is an animal enforcement officer so we are working on taking care of the situation. I plan on taking some pictures tomarrow with my cell phone. I had taken some awhile back and sent copies to the stores corporate office, well they took care of the problems in my complaint. Well Im done being nice I gave them resources on where to get good information on Iguana care and informed them on the care that the Igs were recieving. Now its time to cause them some problems. That poor snake . I didnt draw any attention to it because I want there to be proof and tomarrow I am going to get my proof I hope the snake is still there. Thanks for the link.

I sure wish you luck in your crusade. Maybe some good will come from it. Places have been given warnings, written citations, temporarily suspended from doing business to being shut down depending on the severity of the conditions. Places like that need to be shut down.
