well as some of you may know about 1 1/2 mos. ago i rescued a large male iguana who is about 4'. he was kinda thin with stuck shed all over. he does have mbd and has to go back to the vet in about 2 wks. he is now under a mvb lamp and is loving it!his food intake has quadrupled and he eats alot! his color has improved greatly. so with out further a do i give you the new manny: he loves getting misted sweet dreams favorite spot his basking ledge i built He is looking good! You can see it in his jaw that he has MBD, he may always require special care though. But it looks like you have done everything possible to get him in shape. You're new Rhino is adorable.

First mistake you made was housing a Green Iguana with a Rhino, I don't know much at all about Rhinos but if I remember correctly they have different care requirements. 2nd you should never house multiple Iguanas together, Igs are extremely territorial animals. They may seem to get along fine for a while but eventually in most cases they start fighting resulting in one or both becoming seriously injured. Iguanas are wild animals, they will always remain wild no matter how long you have them. They can become aggressive for no obvious reason. Maybe she isn't feeling well, maybe you were wearing something that scared her. Have you changed anything in your home recently? Could you please tell us about your enclosure set up and diet?

We took him tonight. The blister ruptured during examination. He took a culture and cleaned up the wound. We have to give him and antibiotic injection every 3 days and cream twice a day. We will find out on Monday the results of the culture. Other than that, his mood or behavior has not changed at all. So he's doing good. Doctor said it's very possible that it was a heat burn. I hope the treatment works and that it's nothing serious. Glad to hear he isn't affected by the injury.

Last year I was a mess lol, it was my first time dealing with a gravid ig. We have had Iggy for 3 years now, she wasn't quite a hatchling but she was quite small when we got her. I'm guessing her to be around 3 and a half years old. I just hope things go just as smoothly this year. I have a huge plastic bin for her lay box, I just need to get the dirt for it.

They look like blisters, but could be abscesses. Are they solid or soft?

Iggy is in her 2nd season, she is getting fat and you can feel the eggs in her belly, can't see them yet but sure can feel them ;D. She is still eating like a pig. Hope she is as lovable as she was last year while gravid. She would sleep with my husband during the day when he worked 3rd shift. It was so cute. She laid her eggs in April of last year so I am assuming the timing will be about the same this year too.

Chances are your Ig is too hot. Are you keeping an eye on the temps? A 20 gallon enclosure no matter how it's shaped is too small to get proper temps. You need a bigger enclosure asap before you over heat your Ig. Over heating can kill you Ig.

I never heard of feeding them wheat bread. Is that benificial? Wheat bread is an excellent treat and as I stated in the post above it great for hydration when moistened.

well i have had manny for about a month now, and he is doing much better. He is now eating more(not as much as i think he should) he eats his veggies and his greens (with a half a slice of whole wheat bread 1x a week)and is starting to gain weight. He is still agressive but not as much as when he first arrived. I have been interacting with him almost daily. He has began a new shed and loves to get misted. hopefully after i get him a new mvb lamp he will do much better( i accidentally broke his) im waiti until it warms up a bit before i take him to the vet since i no longer have a car. he is pooping daily and it is looking normal (he had undigested food in his poop when he first arrived) all around i think he is doing much better. Get him some bene-bac or nutri-bac this will help with digestion. Also make sure you moisten the bread this will aid in hydration.

Semen plug, they usually drop them anywhere they feel like it however sometimes they don't push them the whole way out. You still need to have it looked at by a vet whether it's a plug or a hemipene. You need to get him to the vet immediately this is nothing to play around with.
