This may be part of breeding season behavior, but I don't know. Whenever I sit at my computer (next to Kyo's enclosure), he comes over and climbs the screen, or sits on the shelf next to me. All is fine until I acknowledge that he is there. If I look at him, he freezes, and if I talk to him, he's gone, lol. It's like he wants to be close, but doesn't want me to know that he's close, (does that make sense?). I try to ignore him as long as possible, but it's kinda hard to ignore this 3' green lizard hanging in the air next to your head

Eki tries to pretend we aren't there when he's eating. He'll start eating but if we see him he stops. It's so cute. I don't know they want privacy but to be seen at the same time?

Willie has his eyes on me most of the day. He different though. Seems to enjoy being spoken to. Maybe Will would eat better if I created a big cave for him and put his food in there. I'll try it.

I talk to Kyo all the time, and it's fine. He'll turn his head to look at me like he knows what I'm saying. When I come into the room, I get hello head bobs. When I am in his enclosure, he lays there like "Oh, it's you."
It's only when he's in this "invisible" mode that he acts like this, lol. Like I'm a big, bad monster that's going to eat him if he doesn't run away fast enough!
Oh, and he is the same way about eating! As long as we don't watch, he's fine.
Just wish he would be the same way about his potty breaks!

Lol he sounds like a sweetheart! Willie will run sometimes when I try to pick him up still. Sometimes he only puts up token resistance. It has something to do with whether I'm wearing dark or light clothes.

How old/big was Willie when you got him?
Kyo still tries to run when we pick him up, too. But we have only had him for about 8 months, so I try not to worry about it too much. It's frustrating tho. I feed him, bathe him, clean his messes, and still he gets all huffy when I approach him. But, then there are times when he comes to ME, so I guess it all evens out. I'll take alot of huffys to get that one time that he climbs up my arm on his own.
One time, I was sitting on the floor of his enclosure, scrubbing at a piece of fruit that did not want to come up, and thinking some not so nice thoughts about that (bleep) up there on his shelf. He usually just lays up there, all stretched out, and looks down his nose at me when I do his daily cleaning.
I heard him moving, but didn't really pay any attention to him. Then I felt something bump my elbow. I glanced down, and there was Kyo, right on the floor next to me, watching what I was doing! I almost cried, lol. He stayed for a few minutes, then realized where he was, and ZOOMED back up to his shelf. What a hoot!

Dave, I don't know what it is about computers, but Kyo loves ours!
I wonder if its the frequency of the computer "hum"?

I think it's the color change. but I realy dont know. It may be that he just likes some one in the room close to him, but he really loves when the computer plays music are talks.
