It seemed like such a good idea to watch an evening movie with Will that we've tried it. The lights go out. The heats off. I go in with a WHITE bath towel. Pick him up and we go to the tv. This is the best part. My husband, Ed, gave me a massage chair ( it vibrates and heats) from Sam's. Willie lays on my chest, under the towel, while the chair vibrates and he conks right out. it is cute. I can talk to him. The dogs can bark, but Willie is somewhere in dreamland. Eyes closed tight. Maybe some thing like an evening movie would help Eki and your boyfriejnd, EC. I wonder if a rocking chair would be soothing. How nuts we are about our igs!!!

That's an excellent way to earn his trust and form a good bond with him, Nancy. I still do the same thing with Hercules, as I have done since he was just a hatchling. He tests his boundaries fairly regularly, but, overall, he's a sweet iguana (VERY rarely tries to bite)...a gentle giant. The only problem now, with letting him fall asleep on me, is getting him to move off of me...he doesn't seem to want to do that and he's quite big and strong now. I always win, but its not easy. ;D

We can't really do that with Jim yet he's too little and skittish. We tried it once and one of the dogs barked or a kid sneezed and he ended up on my head so we have'nt pressed our luck like that since. We take him out and hold him and let him play BIG BAD GATOR ;D in the tub, if you put your hand in the water at the oppisite end he'll swim like a gator to your hand and stop and pose like it's his tub, ahh the fun. M.D.M.H.Z and JIM

He's never too little to start, Hercules was just a few weeks out of the shell when I started this with him. You do have to be careful though...they're easy to lose when they're little guys and they're not into it. Its definitely something that you should strive for though, he'll form a better bond with you. ;D

I'm glad to know this, Sean. It seems to be working very well for us. We've just started but now, I'll do it regularly. I love the quiet time with him.
Jim makes me laugh. I know about ending up on your head. ;D I try to keep Will on my shoulder, but sometimes he has other ideas. Swimming up to your hand and posing.... must be a kick!
