ok, after a year of learning how to handle Narcy in his new aggressive state i think i am finally beginning to learn how to show him i am the boss and not him, without making him afraid of me. Tonight, i wanted to get him on his hip harness again (trying to get him used to it) and he was 'ok' when i got him out of his cage and slipped the leash over his head, but when i put him on the floor to secure it he wanted to bolt. He wouldn't quit even when i pinned him, so i just picked him up again. when he calmed down, i tried putting him down again with the same results, so i picked him up again. did this three times in a row until finally he stood still while i finished leashing him. He wasn't really into roaming much though, so we finished the evening with some petting time and back in the cage. I have been doing things like this a lot, and not to jinx myself, but i think maybe he is getting the idea

I hope you are right Diane! Especially after the chunk he took out of your hubby. Aren't they THE most obstinate creatures!! ?

I think you just have to be more stubborn than the iguana.
Sometimes THAT takes some doing!

After an event like that I don't think anyone could really blame him. Even if he should have known better!
