Hey everyone. I have been meaning to get some Rep-Cal pellets to start adding to my igs diet. I am assuming that everyone uses these www.repcal.com/AIguana.htm . However, I tried finding these pellets and they are not avaiable anywhere near me. Are there any other pellets that would be good to use that I can find at a regular Petco such as T-Rex iguana food? Any help would be great. Thanks.

The T-Rex is not the best choice. its loaded with filler and contains animal byproducts. I have seen RepCal at Petsmart as well as several of the petshops around town.

I need to buy more -- just finished the can of mine -- and will be looking online for a better price.

Ok thanks. So Rep-Cal is the best choice and I should just find some online?

I usually google and compare total cost (including shipping/handling). Differences in shipping and handling can make a big difference. I usually buy a couple of the 2.5 lbs cannisters since they keep and the difference in S/H is small. The price of the cannister is very economical compared to the 10 ounce.

That is what I am thinking about too. I've gone through three 10 oz cans since September.
What type of cannister is the 2.5 pound in? This isn't a great reason but I am really starting to find the 10 oz screw open clear plastic can to be handy for storeing hardware and the like.

Yea, Rep-cal is the best I have heard of! As long as it is soaked in water before feeding. I plain on caring some in the online store I have, but have not found it at a low enough price yet.

Hi everyone, At the vet's office where I work at....I recommend this site and the food chart to all our clients who keep iguanas. Thanks for the great work you do here. With that said.....on to the subject at hand.....I incorparate moistened Rep-cal iguana pellets to my Ig salads (at a mix of 1/2 pellets & 1/2 salad blend). I buy mine online at 2 different places, either will price match the other and you can't beat the prices www.herpsupplies.com/product.cfm?id=SRP00805www.reptilesupply.com/product.php?products_id=366

I have bought at Reptile Supply a few times and had no problems.
The biggest difference in cost is not the price though, it is the shipping and "handling" charge. I found some at one place for $8.95 and some at another for $11.95 but after S/H the $8.95 was $2 more than the $11.95 one.
