Has anybody tried these treats made by ecto therm, called Cactus fruities made from prickly pear cactus?! I tried them with slim and she loves em.

Here's what I found on it at the Petco web-site.
Water (sufficient for processing), Fresh prickly pear cactus fruit (Opuntia sp.), powdered cellulose, carrageenan, citric acid, calcium propionate, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, artificial color.
So, aside from the preservatives, it looks pretty safe for an ig as a treat.

Except for the citrus acid. Depending on the amount it might give a belly ache - or an ulcer. I would stick with the fresh, messy ones that leave little thorn splinters as you slave over the latest variation of a good diet...;-)

I usually find cactus pads in the produce dept. in the small International section there. They're in the Mexican items...along with jicama which is another food I give for variation... ;D

I also find the pears offered for sale as well. But Zok never particularly seemed to care for them.
