Hi everyone! Good to be back, George is doing amazing, after his last vet check. about 2 months ago, he was worm free and his nose looks amazing!! so heres the problem, I just moved to minnesota and its cold up here...brrrr...and I need to know what heat lamp to get him for night time..preferably a black light one, but I wont be picky. It gets too cold for him at night and I dont like it, I've searched for heat lamps on the internet, but you know how the internet goes. One site recommends one brand and the other site hates it. So i figured i would ask you. I have a space heater in the room but the temp doesnt get above 60 degrees at night. Durring the day the temps are fine, but once the lights turn off it starts getting a bit too cold for comfort. Any suggestions?

A lot of it will depend on howyour cage is set up. A fully enclosed enclosure is going to be easier to deal with than a mesh. Zok's is enclosed and I use a 250watt ZooMed ceramic heat emitter. The room temperature last night was down in the mid 60's but the minimum on the basking shelf was 81. Go to WWW.HerpSupplies.com. You can get it much cheaper than the petshop.

That is what I use also is the 250 and it works just fine. I am in Iowa so I feel your pain :0) I haven't been to the site that Merlin suggested but I will right after this, but I use Petsolutions.com. They are pretty reasonable too. Where are you at in Minnesota?
