I came home from work today and noticed immediatly Yoda had a twisted inside TOE at the last joint before the toe nail.... I wasnt sure what to do ....he was giving me the Hey man ...a little help with the TOE here look... I was able to sort of pinch rhe joint and actualy felt it pop back into place... I couldlnt believe it ...he shook his leg and you could almost see the thank you in his eyes.... I think it was like a real bonding moment for us ...he sat on my arm and seemed to snugle right up for a bit to say Thanks . He seems like everything is great....now.. Has anyone ever heard of this happening..? James- Yoda.

Hi James-
Yes, all the time. Toes are easy compared to elbows! YIKES! I had my wife fix that one on Rambo.
He should be fine. Igs toes are so delicate when traumatized in certain ways.
Just keep an eye on it, keep high UVB and good diet to facilitate healing.
Welcome to the Giant Green Iguana care! LOL
It's so nice that Yoda responded to it. It truly was a bonding moment.

Ya it really freaked me out....I just did what I figured I could do.... He seems to have no more issue with it and was scampering around like nothing happened... all evening ..but i will wach it closley Im still trying to figure out how he did it.... not sure yet.. Im just glad it wasnt broken... It had to be the smallest toe of all.....man it was a little nerve racking not wanting to put to much pressure yet get it back where it needed to go...... It has stayed back in the normal poition and I worked the knuckle gently to make sure ....so far seems fine... James and Yoda .......Thank you.

What a special happening, James, for you and Yoda, and it was so nice how you wrote it. I love to hear about the special moments of affection between us and our igs.

;D
Just got home from work....The Toe looks great...
worked it a bit and other than the
"Hey the toe is fine so quit pulling on my leg "look
everything is great ... ....what a relief
I am really excited about Yoday Lair ...being completed soon
I did have a little change of heart on part of the design ....and added allot more Glass than originally planned ( yes its TEMPERED) so that set me back a little bit but it will be ready for December 1st...
After looking at all that beautiful veiwing area in that
RBD enclosure I just had to ........plus it will hold allot more humidity this way...

Hell All....
Just a quick update..
Yoda is dooing great and growing like a weed.. ;D
I decided to go out today and purchase a calcium supplement to help with the toe and just so I never ever have to look back and say ...
.I wish I would have included a calcium supplement"
I plan to sprinkle just a little on his greens every other or few days at least til he is a little older,
I just went to my local pharmacy and talked to the pharmacist ...she was nice and spent about 20 min with me ... The stuff is in pill form but I purchased a crusher as well and it turns the pils to a nice fine powder.... The brand she recomended was one with no coating ..... which I thought was a good idea,,,
any how I know Yoda is eating a great varied amount of greens and seems to be a picture of health to me from what I have read but I dont see how this supplement could hurt ,,, I will not over do it ...
Yoda and James .

I love it that you put such effort into Yoda. No doubt he'll grow up big and stong!
