Notes from phone call with Dr Doug:
iguana with blister, tests years ago found that blisters and cysts like this contained any type of things (pox and other viruses, bacteria, etc)
ruled out bacteria so viral or other irritant burning -- physical or chemical? found heterophyl type of white cell count -- usually up in response inflammation -- not white blood cells
viral problems white count goes down as immune system working against other things
possible that there has been a viral problem underling for a while (liver problems in Aug) just manifested itself in the skin now
continue to use cefa drops (cefadroxil) for a few days -- 10 days use
probiotics would be a good idea
liver count from Aug, unlikely to be dietary, unless spoilage of feed
----
--> Well this was a day after a move and change in cage so stress will play in --> I was using a space heater -- oil filled radiator type -- could be a thermal burn but I was able to hold the heating element for extended lengths of time (~10 minutes continous)

Is there a bottom line here, Mark? I'm really not getting it. thermal burn or less likely, a liver involvement?
Treatment is to continue the antibiotic for a few more days and a probiotic ? That's it?
Any explanation for Bob's loss of appetite.
Sorry to be a pest!

Well Bob ate a dish and a half of food today, think the decrease was just move stress. But the decrease was only three days.
There is no real strong bottom line without running more tests. His skin is nicely healed now and he is active as normal.
Today he pushed everything off my footlocker (pile of books, keyboard, trackball, cell phone, papers...) and claimed it as a basking spot in the sun.
I have given him an extra 1.5cc's of water when I give him the cefa drops for the last two days. White urates rather than vary pale pink to orange (pale enough I can't really figure out what colour it is).

Not trying to be rude or anything but his iguana's name is Bob, not him. Unless you were addressing his iguana. . . . .

Being that blistering is not normal a VET VISIT IS APPROPRIATE especially with the location of your ig's blister.
