Dragon got blood drawn on Monday. Tuesday Dr. Cecil called. The good news was the white blood cells were within the normal range now and that was what had him concerned about the kidneys. But the bad news was that now the red blood cell count was now low--anemia. He had wanted me to bring her down for an iron shot but when he heard my transmission (or clutch) died he said that it could wait--that he wasn't really overly concerned over it. He said it might be because of the stress she has been under lately--I hope that is all it is. But since I am experienced in giving Dragon injections I asked if I could give it--I won't have to drag her on the bus and then the trolley to go all the way up there. Before the car I used to do it but if I don't have to do it it would be better. So I will go by myself to pick up the Iron and B12. I suggested the B12 and he didn't think that was a bad idea. Of course I will always have to keep an eye for kidney failure from now on. So I'll go get the stuff tomorrow. At least I'll save a buck or two giving her the injections myself.

What a wonderful ig Mom you are, Marie. I'm glad Dragon's kidneys are okay and it sounds as if you are well able to take care of the rest. What we won't do for the love of our igs!
