Some of you may remember that when Willie's appetite fell off he was easily distracted from eating. If his attention went elsewhere, he wouldn't go back to his food. So I put some room dividers around most of his cage. The dogs no longer startled him and nor did any other movement. Today we took the dividers down. Willie seems to love his new expanded view. He's cocking his head with curiosity at everything and this feels like a big new step for him!

Ha! I love the funny looks they get on their faces when they are curious. ....I bet most people would think we are crazy to think a lizard has facial expressions. lol

Ha! Thats ok! Most people think we are crazy just for having them as pets in the first place! (you mean EVERYBODY doesn't have a 5 ft lizard in their living room?)

Thanks, iguanaboi. Will is doing so well now. i agree with you and Merlin..there is something very special and different about our iguanas. They can look like such tough guys, but they are totally dependent on us. I've had dogs as pets most of my life, still do, but Willie is something else entirely. I wonder if it's in the way they look at us.

Eki has met my boyfriends two cats. One little black and white runt named Kitkat then the big huge russian grey that is the size of a small dog (not minature) He eights about 20-30lbs I'd say. But he's long and tall not fat. Well eki has licked at them and they run away... The only downside. They think his tail is a toy and eki goes into lockdown mode and pretends to be dead.. That's when I pick him up and hold him extra close petting him. He inspects the cats through his tankwhen they do get downstairs. But he only sees them in ltitle visits. So he has no fears of them for the most part.
