I noticed the little toe on Lenard's back foot seems to be broken sideways. I have no idea how this happened. Should I take him to the veterenarian?? I know its a dumb question, but what could they really do for an iguana toe.... I really dont want his toe to be amputated.

There's no need to amputate it... unless it got severely infected and antibiotics wouldn't cure it.
Does he seem to be in pain?
Igs do fine even if they're missing toes, nails, etc.
I know I really haven't given you "advice," but I'd keep an eye on it and take him in if it seems to be infected or causing a lot of pain.
Others will probably give you more information too.

He doesnt seem to be in pain. Do you think it will just heal sideways?

Yea, it will heal that way. How "fresh" is this injury? Maybe try gently putting it back in place, but DO NOT force it.

Zair has had several toes broken. They do very well with deformed toes. They have NOT stopped him in the slightest. There's not anything they can do for broken toes. Zair may need to have a couple amputated eventually because they curl up over the next toe and dig into the scales creating sores if I'm not on top of his trimmings. I doubt Lenard's is that bad, so don't sweat it...

Good to hear. Is the toe still crooked?

yes, it looks odd but its healed. Thats why you shouldnt let your friends hold your pets, because they dont care for them the way you do.
