Our iguana, Iggi, has lost her appetite. We thought she was gravid, but could feel no eggs. We went to the herp vet Monday, and she was Xrayed. No eggs. A fecal float was positive for parasites. The vet gave us Panacur, with the directions to give 2.25 cc each day, for 5 days, then wait 2 weeks, and give for another 5 days. My question is, will the Panacur also kill the beneficial microorganisms in her hindgut? Is there a way to reintroduce the microorganisms to her? Thanks.

I agree!
Nutribac is shown to be beneficial when used in a preventative manner also. A little sprinkling once a week will keep the iguanas gut flora healthy and strong and prevent the bad organisms from "taking over".
Let us know how it goes Lamar.

Added benefit for the nutriback is Bob wolfs down the food when it is dusted with the suppliment. Kind of weird as I assumed it would be tasteless.
I am a big fan of the product, used it for Bob after a round of antibiotics.

I just ordered a bottle from RetileUV.com. Do you use it? I am especially interested in appetite stimulation, and preventing reoccurences. Iggi picked up the parasites because we let her roam outside daily. She will sometimes lick at dirt. I am sure this is where she picked up the parasites. We will try to curb her eating dirt, but we will always let her roam outside. She really needs the sunshine and fresh air.

Hi Lamar-
Yes, I use it weekly for Rex, have for some time now.
It will indeed help stimulate the appetite and keep any introduced bacteria at bay. The philosophy is that it promotes the good bacteria in the hind gut which will crowd out the bad bacteria and keep the gut healthier.
All around good medicine from everything I've heard, read and discussed.
