Sorry I can't remember pocochu, but what kind of UVB do you use? I was just looking at the last pic and if it's a tube it's pretty far from the basking area.
that is so cute with her using the flower for a pillow. No one can tell be the prefer tree bark over blankets and soft flowers...:-D

I have two 18"tubes they are ESU 7.0 and they are 9" over the basking spot. I know they look farther than what they are... I know her and Squirt still love their pillow sleeping bags, they are too big to fit in them now,so they just lay on top of them...... Her belly is getting so big I can see the outline of the eggs...

She might even appreciate another pillow to straddle her belly between. They seem to get so uncomfy when laying on that belly of eggs...;-)

Yup, give her a nice, round pillow to lay her belly on. Maybe one of those "neck pillows" with a flat bottom. My thigh was always a good, round place my gravid females loved to sleep on, but I didn't suggest that. I am taking a HUGE risk of being bitten by doing that, so its not recommended. But, if it gives you an idea as to what gravid females like to sleep on, you can simulate it.

Just be careful and watch her reaction! I tried the pillow bit once with Zok and you would have thought we had introduced a terrible ig eating monster into the cage. She went ballistic! She refused to go back up onto her basking shelf while it was there. I finally ended up having to remove it from the cage.

LOL! I had the same reaction when I tried to add a stuffed animal (just like the one Angus has) to Iggys enclosure but she tried to kill it ;D

Well no eggs yet.....Her appetite is coming back, she eats with Squirt and they almost eat the whole bowl...(((pigs))) Her belly looks like its getting smaller, I've checked for eggs and nothing..... In her lay box that is.....she's pooping more and her urates are nice and white...but I do have a question tho...With this being her first time with eggs what are her chances of reabsorbing her eggs?
Thanks...........Annie ;D

Her chances are the same as any other ig of reabsorbing. Cut back on her calcium if this is what's happening or she'll be getting too much...;-)

And there is really no way for sure to see if she has absorbed all the eggs without an xray. If they are not all absorbed it could cause problems.

Hi Everyone,
Just a little update.....Well no eggs yet......I'm really beginning to wonder, Her belly doesn't look as big and she is back to eating, not like she use to but she is eating....
I do have a question..How much longer should I wait to take her back in for an xray? I really thinks she is reabsorbing her eggs......
Thanks Agian........Annie ;D

If this is what's happening there's no reason you can't take her in now for a comparison x-ray. This way you will KNOW to stop the calcium rather than the possibility of continuing. What a complicated girl!

Hi Everyone, Well nothing yet...still waiting...I finally got done with her new enclosure..I'll post pic when I get the time to resize them...it turn out really good...... About how long are they gravid for? It seems like it been a long time since I found out she had eggs..... Do they get real grumpy before they lay?....My sweetheart has turned in to Mrs. Grumpy lately I ended up taking Squirt out she was chasing him around really bad, so I didn't want to take any chances......But she's even grumpy towards me and that is not like her........ Well I hope everyone is doing well here? I don't get to come on as much as I like to. My husband started a new job and still getting use to his hours..He doesn't get home sometimes till 2am.....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

It takes about 60 before they lay.
Yes - they can get very grumpy. Do you have a nest box set up for her yet?
