I have also email each and every seller of cage that they claim to be an iguana/chameleon telling them to take off the fact that they can be used for them. They are way too small...and legthwise!

Very sneaky...and nothing we can do about it. As for the cages...these are people trying to make money. They don't care if the cage is misrepresented. It's really no good for a chameleon either. It's to drafty. They are just like the pet stores...$$ is the bottom line. They've been selling them for years...*sigh*.

I might be able to get this guy down the street to take him. He already knowns all the $$ and time we have to put into ours and thinks he might be up for it. So i think it is for the best this person puts his iguana on sale cause he does not care about it. But other people will. ;D

I just received an email from the seller of this ig. Here is what he wrote!
"Mind your own business..and if ebay does shut this auction down, I will let the cute little iguana go on the expressway! leave me alone. dc"
I want to seriously shoot him, too bad I live in another state!!!!

Hey swampking, I'll chip in to keep you as the highest bidder I was going to do it myself but I'm too far away.

Report it to ebay anyway...once the auction is over...save the e-mail and send the message he sent. He's playing with you knowing you have an Interest in what he's doing wrong. You can also leave a remark in the feedback area. You only have limited space on feedback...so use it well.

Hi folks....
Things to think about re: this eBay ig.
As there is no honest discussion going on with the auctioner, keep in mind what you could be potentially getting yourselves into. This can be applied in general re: rescue
Can you quarantine the ig? Parasites (external or internal), fungal or bacterial infections are concerns.
Is the ig healthy? The pictures may reflect a healthy ig, but there could be underlying issues. Is the ig fat or bloated? If bloated, is that because of impaction, infection or paraisites? Tail or appendage issues? Open sores? Abcesses? Breakages? Fractures?
If there are medical costs, can the recipient afford it? Is this a shared issue of those involved. Is there committment from group individuals for incurring costs?
How long can keep the ig? Can you take the time to find a responsible home? Are you capable of evaluating of what a responsible home is?
If there are hesitations about the above items, then perhaps a rescue effort isn't the best thing to do.

BTW, if that's a 2 year old iguana, it's extremely juvenie looking. Either it's stunted with no outward signs of MBD ...or that's just not a 2 year old. If it's the latter, kinda makes you wonder the validity of the auction. If it's the first, could be a setup for major potential issues.

Well, I am really wishing that i lived down there now, and knew exactly where he lived. Just got into work and read my mail from him. This is what it said: "IGUANA HAS BEEN EUTHANIZED...HOPE YOUR HAPPY, TREE HUGGER." It makes me so mad, i wanna scream! GRRRRR! I hope he's just saying to piss me off, (well I guess he did a good job!), and the ig is still alive!
