check out the post on cage ideas from IZ members. Your cage size sounds small for a full grown ig. Mine could really stand to be bigger, but i just don't have the room, and it is 4' w. x 3' deep x 8' high.

My assumption is that your numbers are in feet, disregard if they're meters.
It's too small for an adult and really wouldn't be useful past 2 years, tops. With proper care, they grow to full size rapidly.
Go with acrylic. Wire doesn't retain heat at all...
Go check out the cage ideas thread and a few of the threads in this forum regarding cage construction projects.

That cage is big enought for a 2.5 year old tops with out free roaming most of the time.
For a normal healthy adult ig you should be thinking about a cage 4 feet deep 8 feet wide and tall enough for you to stand up in (mine is 6 feet).
Materials: If you are using a wood frame construction use wood (or a wood like product) for most of it with plexi making up what parts of it you can afford (the stuff is expensive). Avoid mesh because it is a bear to keep heat and humidity in the cage for the lizard.

Hi Hollie...glad you came over. Welcome to the Zone...I have 3 ig cages all housing adults. The smallest cage is 4x4x2 ft and houses a male, the next size up is 4x6x2 and also houses a male and my largest cage is 5x6x2 and houses my 3 girls. Because of the size of my house this is all I can have. My igs get their exercise time and are all happy and healthy. What you have for size measurements are fine for now I believe. Especially if you dont have the space...I am sure you will be taking that green baby out to exercise him...best of luck...
I also would discourage the wire and use plexi on the front door....holds the heat in so much easier....good luck...let me know (IM) how it goes....Lyn

My enclosure is open front...and it definitely requires finesse to get the temps and humidity right. If you go with plexi...make sure you have ventilation areas.
