im new here and im planning to get an iguana and i know that i can totally give great care to them. btw, im from the philippines. the temperature is great for igs. i was just wondring if i could build a house for my upcoming new ig in a tree? that way i would no longer need to decorate the cage for it has lots of branches to climb. any suggestions? tnx!

I would worry about wild animals getting to an ig even in a cage. Some are strong enough to get through. You would need to secure the frame and wire very well around the tree. It should reach to the ground in a place that gets sun and shade. Igs thermoregulate all day long so would need access to both...all day long...not just in the morning, or just in the afternoon. This would be a difficult project, but with good planning and lots of materials, it can be done... To tell you what I prefer though...leave it in the wild... ...especailly if it's past the baby stage. An ig caught from the wild...especially older ones...do not take well to captivity.

Yup, anything other than a farm-raised ig will probably not do well. For your "house in a tree" you'll also need to consider whether or not its leaves would be toxic to your iggy.
