I'm so on the fence about having more than one ig. Willie (16 mo male) and I are still working out our relationship and making good progress. But we're not there yet. I would love to have a little hatchling again..they are so adorable and I would be a better iglet mommy this time around. I know so much more now. I would also like to adopt a gorgeous femme fatale for Will...about the same age and size. Will is in a huge cage by Cages By Design. Loads of room for two for life. I think. One obvious negative is that within the next 3 years, my husband and I plan to move from TX to Florida. But that will be a problem even if we only have one ig. I would love some thoughts on this. Thanks

Here is the thing...unless you plan on having 2 huge cages by design, I wouldnt bother...Igs are usually solitary and I have personally heard horror stories about male/female relationships that turn into disasters...probably not a good thing to put 2 together...hope this helps...Lyn

Hey Nance I hafta agree with Lyn. She is luck enough to have some females that get along ok in the same cage. Males are a different story tho. I have each of my 3 in different cages right now. I haven't a clue what I'm gonna do when they are bigger tho. The kids are gonna have to share their already too small bedroom. I was hoping Thrasher would let the new girl share her house. She promptly put an end to any thoughts I had of that. ;D

Lyn and Tesa, thank you for your thoughts on this. My common sense tells me you are absolutely right. My heart wishes it could be different.
