I came home this morning after going shopping and my house was broken into. they took a few things but I'm most upset about them taking Diego. I called the police and they contacted the animal shelters and everyone is looking for him. if an Iguana is brought in or caught I will be the first to be called. I also have to contact a lady from another Iguana board and she is gonna call the fish and game people and contact all the shelters that are even a littel ways away from me to be looking out for him. why the heck would anyone wanna steal an Iguana? I mean come on, they tok all teh tv;s, stereo and DVD players, they took the game systems but left 4 computers. you would think they would rather take the computers than the Iguana. I'm so sad right now... I can replace all the other stuff (we have renters insurance) but I cant replace Diego.

I am so sorry to hear about this Melissa. I'm so sorry they took Diego, what jerks they are. I hope Diego bites and whips the daylights out of them until they decide they can't handle an iguana. I'm glad to hear you are okay and that this didn't happen when you were home. Both my parents home and my sisters were robbed and it is a very scary thing to go through. God bless!

What a bunch of scumbags! There is nothing quite like the feeling of being broken into and robbed. Such a feeling of being violated and then to have your pet taken too. I hope he bites, claws, and tail whips, them into submission and then takes a good healthy poop on them for good measure! I do hope he comes home ok. If they find the idiots I want to be first in line to slap the *** out of them.... Ok I'll settle for being next after you.

Melissa this may sound stupid but I'm going to say it anyway. Have you checked all around the house? Maybe they tried to take him but couldn't get a grip on him and he is in hiding? They are very adept at hiding in some incredible spaces. I'm not going to give up in hoping that he will be returned to you or pop up somewhere in the house.

Oh Melissa what an awful thing to happen Its quite possible they tried to take him but got bitten and scratched so much they let him go outside and legged it. Even the nicest ig would probably turn on a stranger in that situation, poor Diego I hope he is near by somewhere and will come home soon. Ive worried about this happening to us, after reading about a beardie being stolen, people with that kind of mentality will grab anything they think is worth money I really hope hes ok and you find him soon. Sounds like youve contacted all the right people, Im sure if they hear anything they will get straight back to you.
