So I have had Jolee for about 8 months now and he is about 15 1/2 inches nose to end of tail. lately he has been gradually getting darker in color from baby green to a darker shade or green (exculding his belly). Is it normal for this color change? He recently saw the vet and he checked up on him and made no mention of it. Everything else seems well he has even begun to grow scales back on his newly grown tail. I know that his/her color will change eventualy to a darker color but is it already time?
Also I have noticed that he has dark marks on his knees and right where his pelvis bone bump (on the top side above his vent). Is it normal for him to have these, I assume that they are cuased by his craming himself ainto small places and rubbing them.

It seems to me like its a bit early..... Are you sure his temps are ok? Do you check the temperature at precisely the spot the iguana's body is or a few inches away? He could be getting burns..... Can you get a picture?

Babies do tend to lose their colors as they get older as you already know. Your ig could very well be starting to experience this. I would make sure of the basking area temps though just to make sure the darkness of the color is not caused by them being to low.
