Check this out. At some point last evening Bob nipped my arm. I took him outside while watching/helping/instructing my roommate on building a railing and when out there at some point Bob bit my arm -- bicep half way between shoulder and elbow. Weird thing is I did not notice it until my roommate said I was bleeding.
I now have two matching arcs of tooth holes in my flesh and about half of them have healed over. After putting Bob back in his cage I swabbed it with peroxide and put triple antibiotic ointment on it -- never knew neosporin inhibited clotting/scabbing.

Sounds like a test bite, maybe you had something on your arm that smelled different to him. Well...at least you didn't have to have anything sewn back on, so I guess you can consider yourself lucky. ;D

I'm sorry you got bit! Puppy is always trying to bite me, so I don't let him crawl up onto my shoulders and I definitely don't let my son hold him yet or pet him without my supervision. My son is 14 and a big big guy, bigger than me so it's a mommie protection type of thing I suppose! I have heard that there is a hydrogen peroxide gel that is SO much better than the liquid. I just found out about that yesterday when a co-worker observed all the scratches up my arms and on my hands. hehe

His teeth are just so sharp that it was a series of clean cuts yet applied very little pressure.
The last time he bit me (last year) he put two or three teeth thru my thumb nail with a nice matchin arc on the pad of that thumb.
Generally I put him on my shoulder and he calms right down, I guess that he just had enough of being handled that day.
