Is there any way to tell the age of an iguana. We have had Louie for about 4 days he (hopefully because of name) has had 3 previous owners that apparently did not take the time to find out anything about raising him. I know the last 2 owners had him for about a year each the first owner I am not sure. Is there any way too tell the age of Louie. P.S. This is Bill's wife Jill Thank-you all for the help you have already provided.

Hello Bill's wife Jill... ;D Since you said the previous owners gave Louie less than ideal care it will be very difficult to put an age to him/her (could be a Louise... ). Care has a direct effect of the growth pattern. I have seen adult igs the size of something not much bigger than a hatchling. Here's the best link I can give you to go by...but again...Louie has been compromised by his lack of care, so this really can't apply. www.anapsid.org/iguana/agesize.html
