Jeter is so TINY! Zair wasn't even that small when I brought him home!
Do you still have the bark in there? It looks great, but this stuff is pretty dangerous. Newspaper is not so pretty, but it will keep the baby from some serious medical problems...the big one being an fatal impaction.
I can't get over how little it is! You definitely have a hatchling... ;D.

I found him in my backyard. I have removed the bark after reading about the hazards they pose. I have that reptile mat in there now. Also what i wanted to ask you was He/She wont touch food i chop down but i get worried when it is larger pieces do you have any sugestions. Also i am building my baby a tank that is gonna be about 10 by 12 in my garrage probly gonna take a few months cause season has started down here and as a chef i work 70 + hours a week. should i buy him a larger tank than the 35 i have, or will Jeter be ok?

Excellent on the bark...:-)
He should have no less than a 50. This is the smallest size you can use and still get the required temps in the three areas - basking, ambient, cool end/night. That will work for it's entire first year. In that time you can slowly work on the "mansion"...:-)
A lot of times babies will choose to eat at night. This is instinct in the wild, too. They can't be seen as easily then and kind hide better in the shadows. Try leaving the food in there all night and see if anything is gone in the morning. If you already do that...keep in mind baby bellies are very small. It doesn't take much to fill it up...:-) As long as it's eating something then it will be fine.

Hannibal refuses chopped up food too, so I cut it up just a little smaller than his head. And he eats like a pig! Jeter is so cute!!
