HopeHello, i wasn't sure if i should start a new subject so i hope i did this right.
My name is Rebecca. I'm 45 and go to college, and my Ig is Doobie, 4-5 years old, acquired from my son (who named him!) ;D. In reading over things here i'm almost positive he is a she! although been told HE -thats what my son said, the herp guy he's taken him to, and my vet.... but he's not been dna'd....i'll try to get some pics of the underside lol. I know i need a bigger cage.
I'd like to know more about free roaming and will be reading up on that possibility.
he's had um sufficient care, though not the best due to my son. i have him in a 5 ft tall x 36x 24 wire cage. its covered with curtains to help with heat. i have 2 ceramic heater lights, one larger watt light (dont' remember but tis a rep cal light) and a smaller basking light, and a uvb tube. he has 4 shelfs and the bottom he can go to. his water tub is on the bottom.
i feed him as close to collard/mustard/dandelion greens(though i cant find these now) plus other greens as i can. though he hates mustard. plus a squash, zucchinis, sweet potatoes and others mixed in. he gets a t-rex supplement and some alfalfa sprinkled on top.
i get him out as i can... but he's never gotten to the point to come out when i want him to. i take advantage of it as i can. he will come and sit on me. he gets tubbed about 2-3 times month due to the above.
i spray him many many times a day as i'm home though i know his humidity sucks. i have a fountain in the room with him. i am just not sure how to keep the humidity up for him.
Well thanks for listening.
Rebecca
