How can i get my Ig's spikes to stand up? They seem to flop over where there the longest (closes to the neck). I have farily high humidity good lighting and great diet. Any ideas from people have Ig's with tall upright spikes?

Some ig's spikes just do that I'm afraid. You may notice they might stand up during basking sessions then the rest of the time they lay over again. These are aids in thermoregulating. The area is small so it heats up quicker initializing warm blood flow. Some igs spikes just plain too big for even that...;-)

Yep its just a genetic thing. Look at pictures of igs in the wild. Many of them particularly larger males have them flopped over.

Yeah, I noticed Tiki has 2 long spikes that are starting to lay over, He can still pick them up when he's puffed up, but otherwise they kinda lay there. And I thought too, that was a humidity problem, but turns out that's just the way he is!

Nothing to worry about there, I'm sure you give him great care Sancho has that going on kinda but they more just lay back rather than to the side, unless he's smushed himself under a pillow to sleep that is, then it's just like a bad hair day. lol When he's puffed though, you'd never have thought the spikes were ever flopped! Silly iggies.
