I'm a bit alarmed here all of a sudden. I was sitting here at my desk and all of a sudden I hear deep breathing similar to what the hubby makes when he's lying down for a nap but not fully asleep yet. I thought it was the hubby but then heard noise in the kitchen and dishes being moved so I knew it wasn't...I walked over to Sancho's house and he's deep in slumber but sounds like he's snoring! I've never ever heard him breath that loud, I mean I can hear him breath when he's lying on me and the room is silent but never that loud. Is there maybe something wrong I should be looking into? I look in his mouth almost daily so I don't think it's RI. But, who knows. I went to pet him when I discovered the breathing and he sorta woke up and stopped, He hasn't gone back to doing it so I don't know if maybe he was having an intense dream or something.
I just wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this or not or whether I should be setting up a vet appointment. Thanks in advance for any tid bits of info.
I wouldn't set up an appt. I've never had one snore, but if he's eating, drinking, pooping just fine...I would just keep an eye on him and if it starts to affect behavior - then I would make an appt...:-)
I've heard an iguana "snore" but it was when he had rested his throat on the edge of a shelf! He was also drooling! I flipped out, and then realized what had probably happened was his tubes were a little constricted! Pretty funny !!
