Why would my baby iguana do this? Is it normal at least?
I know they usually poop in their water bowl, what If I collect that water and stored it in large water jugs and used it for my plants? Will that make me sick or produce bad bacteria?

Welcome to the forum...:-D It's very normal for igs to eat poo. This is how they get their first culture of microflora for aid in digesting. The fact that yours is doing this may mean it needs a boost of some probiotics which can be done in several different ways. 1. Nutribac - specifically for herps 2. Benebac - Made for birds - approved for reptiles 3. Nature Zone Essential Probiotics - specifically for reptiles 4. Acidophilus Tablets - Human health food store. Any one of those four will do the trick. I keep all my guys on a maintenance program by using it at least once a month. It's harmless and will keep everything running smoother.I believe you can get NutriBac or BeneBac at PetCo. Its in the bird care section. NatureZone you can buy that online at Big Apple Herpetological - www.bigappleherp.com . As for saving it for your plants...if you have a weakened immune system and your ig is a salmonella carrier it could be a problem.Ig poop is not the greatest smelling stuff though so I think even if you didn't worry about salmonella...you may not want to stink in your plants...;-)

My baby iggy does the same but I've noticed lately hes peeing and pooping in the food bowl or atleast will crawl on top of the food dish and lay on the food and go. Its very irritating so how do i correct this?

Take the food bowl away when he's not eating. Eki pooped on his food once or twice and never did it again. But for the past 6 months he's had a habit of smearing his poop EVERYWHERE with his nose, tail etc... He's been to the vet 4x's now for his leg infection which is healing fine btw.. But when we told the vet he's playing in it the vet wasn't concerned at all.
We did indeed completely disinfect his entire habitat and cleaned it from top to bottom in a hr long process of scrubbing everything absolutely spotless like brand new and he hasn't really smeared his poop much anymore. I think it was a sign that his enviroment had a film on it.... But yeah Vet says if he's eating, pooping, sleeping, no problems... Don't worry about it.

Well after giving my iguana some nurtibac he's eating a little more, he also got his Mega Ray bulb the same day so maybe its a little of both.
He seems much more observant now, his eyes follow me. He'll let me mist him, before he'd run away. Still won't let me grab him but once I catch him he calms down pretty easy and I can loosen my grip on him a lil.
I don't know if it's because the farm/petshop fattened him up on a supplement or he's getting smaller, I think I see the horizontal line running down his side which spells dehydration. I bathe him every other day, I mist him and his food alot (probably more than I should) and his food is always fresh. He also has a water bowl with fresh water daily. I'd hate to force feed him and reverse my progress.
I'll take pics in the morning.

As long as he is voluntarily eating there is no reason to forcefeed. Forcefeeding is extremly stressful and dangerous and is a last ditch effort to save an animal that is starving to death. Try feeding some small treats of watermelon or cantelope to increase the moisture content. You can also add a small amount of RepCal Iguana Pellets that have been soaked in water to the food. They swell up like a sponge!
