My poor rescue baby has not even been gone a week. I am still hurting more than I can say. However it has come to my attention that there is another baby in need who is losing his home due to a new human baby. I am told he had his own room, eats fresh fruit and veggies as well as greens. He will eat IG food but dose not care much for it so dose not get it often. They have had him since he was a baby and is now over 3 years old and 4 foot long. I am I hate to admit very tempted to bring him home. There is such an empty spot around here after the passing of my little rescue buddy. I would NOT be using the same cage as I had Hubby destroy it because I could not stand to look at it. So would have to build a new one. Not that it would be hard.... But how would he adjust since he has not been caged? I would prefer he spend time in a cage as that way I it would be easy to monitor his heat/humidity food intake and output right?
Someone tell me if I should go ahead and bring him home or if it is to soon. I know that I want another Iguana but don't know if it is to soon. Would it be fair to him? Would it be fair to the rescue I lost??

Is it too soon? Well that is one you will have to decide for yourself. In my opinion, I dont think it is. I havent a clue if he will adjust to being caged, it depends on the Ig. If you do decide to take him I would build an extremely large cage as he is used to having a whole room.

I totally agree!! That's a personal decision! If you feel you're ready do NOT let the passing of your first rescue get in the way of your decision. Instead let the death of that one be your resolve to do your same best with the next one.
I knew you had *sucker* tattooed to your foread... ;D
