Chester looks great. I don't know the sex, but looks like if you find seminal plugs or strings of stuff you will know for sure.

Red spots? O.o that doesn't sound very good on a green iguana. Might be mites? [someone with more experience please correct me if not] Although breeding season comes with slight orange hues, in which case you might want to leave him alone for most of the time, and try getting him a luvsock too, because as far as I know he might as well be in his first breeding season, and it'll help divert his attentions to the toy a bit.
But from the pictures, I'd say he's probably in his teenager faze. If so, then it's best to leave him be most of the time, but do take him out for a small portion of time every day [maybe 15-20 mins], bathe him and so on like normal, no matter how much he tail whips and bites. If he bites you, don't let him go, possibly make it seem like you didn't feel anything [I've heard alternate versions where screaming real loud and scaring the ig works too, but I prefer this one =/]. If you let him go every time he bites you, he'll think of it as an escape plan and bite you whenever you come near, so you leave him alone.
This is just my opinion, I'm not an expert on iguanas [my own stunted ig is just maturing], so someone please correct me if I'm misinformed.

I was hoping it was just seasonal color change.
