That sounds like an aweful lot I dont know Ive never used that one. I use Jurassi-cal which is just a pure calcium supplement. But maybe someone else could help you. Its not good to over do it with the supplements.

1/2 tablespoon for 5 OZ of body weight? Yeee gawds!!!!!!!!!!!! NO! Do the math! A 5 pound lizard would be getting 16 tablespoons at a time! You will have a dead lizard! When you supplement you should use it like you are salting your own food, Just a shake. If you see a lot of powder you are using too much. In fact a lot of people use a sallt shaker to dispense the supplements. Most of the folks that I know use Repcal Herptavite and RepCal calcium powder. You should be using a vitamin powder and a seperate calcium powder without any phosphorus.

I'm with Merlin - Yeee gawds!!!!!!! NO!
I sprinkle very little on and not even everyday. With a good diet with lots of variety...you shouldn't need to supplement at all unless the ig is sick or gravid. I MIGHT supplement a couple of times a month.

Beings I take these myself, [vitamins] and have them on hand, I crush up 3-4 Centrum vitamin tablets and put them in their own container, and that is what I [DUST] just barely on my baby's food everyday and the adult gets it once a month.. Now that I have Turtles too, they also get it once a month.. Got this Idea from "Iguana's for dummies" page 153!!.. She also states on this page that, most multivitamins have some calcium in them but not enough for Iguanas, so you need to add just a pinch more of Calcium to their diet.. But look for Plain calcium supplement with no other vitamins or phosphorous added in.
