Okay, i love my lil's, but im trying not to play favorites lilly is my baby(mine), and Godzilla (although i love him)is my boyfriends, but i have to take care of both right now. So of course, i kinda play favorites with lilly, because godzil is such a little turd monkey right now! Ever since Godzil was little, hes always been more aggressive than lilly, with the tail whipping and running away and opening his mouth as if hes going to bite. (luckily he stopped doing that, and tail whipping is minimum, but he still runs) Lilly will walk into my hand while godzil will shrink his pupils and get terrified and run like theres no tomorrow, Hes even this way when i do traditional water and food changes. Im trying to get him to calm down but im not 100 percent sure on how to. Iguans personality usually become more prominent as they get older, but his doesnt seem to be changing much, even though its only been 6 months since we've got him and im guessing he was probably 2 months old before we got him. Hes also always the one to run away and try and get out of his cage, yet when i goto take him out, he wants no part of it. Hes such a tricky iguan but i'll except the challenge!

Zair was the same way. He was a pretty sassy ig when younger. Now at almost 12 yrs old I have been able to take him for educational programs for many years. Some igs never socialize the way we want them to, but constant handling, exposure and that patince thing and you maybe one of the lucky ones, too...:-)

Some igs take a looooongg time to become accustomed to touch and handling or more so the removal from enclosure process. My iguana took a couple years! lol And even when I least expect it he gets a little nutty and nervous or aggressive around me. Be patient and just work slowly, he'll come around eventualy.
