whats up everyone..i just got a 2foot iguana from a co-worker that is moving cross country it is currently housed in a 40 gallon breeder tank and i am looking to upgrade to a much bigger home i would like to build. does anyone have any build plans i can go by keeping in mind i am a begginer with minimal power tools..there is someone selling a iguana kingdome cage for $120.00 its like 1/2 price should i just buy that? also how and should i cut its nails they are sharp as hell...thanks for all your input....chris

Don't waste your money! Those cages are way too small for an adult iguana. You need to build. A simple wooden box with a glass front door will work. It needs to be a minimum of 6 ft tall and 5ft wide and 4ft long. Thought a couple of extra feet either way would be better. Yes you can trim the nails . You can use a cat nail clipper (looks like scissors with a little half moon cut out in the blade. What I use is a dremel sanding tool with a fine grade sanding wheel but I have a 9 year old female who is very calm. You want to cut off just the tips of the claws. thanks merlin..you wouldnt happen to have any go bys on how to build a cage would you? also do i just grab the toe and clip the nail? im afraid the toe wil break they look fragile and it likes to whip that tail what do i do about that while trying to cut the nails? thanks chris...
