About a week ago i noticed a small bump forming on my iguanas nose, i figured it may just be from him banging around in his tank when we try to get him out (when he is not in a good mood). today when we were cleaning the tank i noticed that it had gotten larger and was a shade of pink, almost like a large pimple. i am curious as to what this could be and im sure i will wind up having to go to the vet to have it taken care of however i would like to have a general idea before i go in.
from what i can tell so far it appears to be a abscess of a sort, but i may be wrong.

based on that you said.. it can be one of a few thing that this can be.. since I'm not a vet ima go off the top of my head and state that it might be a . One of the most common problems with keeping iguanas is that they may continuously try to escape. They usually rub and bump their noses against the sides of their enclosure. This can result in serious, permanent damage to their nose and face. You might want to send a pic of your iguana nose so i can be sure. if it is a nose abrasion very easy to treat at home.
Strange lumps and bumps that grow are not to be taken lightly. I would get your Ig to the vet, as it could be an abscess which need antibiotic treatment. In some cases the abscess will need to be lanced cleaned out.
