How do you know the iguana is racist? Getting him fixed more than likely will not change his behavior, it is currently breeding season, and so when it comes to females a male iguana will look at a them as possible mates, and a male as competition. So if he feels that a male is dominant over him hes not even gonna try him. Wait until mating season is over to make your determinations about your iguanas behavior.

Iguanas couldn't care less about the color of someone's skin! Getting him fixed or a companion will solve nothing, And will likely end up with one or both of the iguanas injured or dead. They are not a social animal. And the behavior you are describing sounds like a normal iguana. They are not puppy dogs or kittens, they are a wild animal.
How are you housing it qand what are you feeding it?

Merlin hit this one on the head... I would like to add just one thing though.. When thinking of getting your iguana fixed, keep in mind that it does not in most cases effect them as it does us or our furries. You can fix your male iguana and it can turn into acting like a female, same goes for vica versa.. In other words, fixing them doesn't mean your troubles are over.. In fact they could just be starting.. Might want to research this a little more before you would make that decission..

Very rarely will a vet perform this type of surgery unless there is a life threatening issue that requires it being done.

thanks so much for the feed back my only thing is when you say he might be looking at females as a mate and males a competition well i am a female and he blows up at me and wont even let me think about petting him or anything which this is something new but with my 6'6 father walks in he acts fine as day .. i have him in a six foot tall by four feet wide cage and during the days when i am home i open the doors on the cage and he has the whole room to himself .. i feed him tons of greens about everyother day the local food loin produce guy calls me and i get all the greens and vegs they plan on throwing out .. and he loves squash and i only get fruits at treats and sometimes i will hide them in his room to give something to look for.
