Okay, so hi everyone new to the forum.
I had bought a 3 1/2 foot Iguana from a Guy at work His land lord had found out about it and he ask me if i wanted to buy it for 30 bucks cage and all.
He says he has had "Her" which i do believe it is a Him due to the fact he has never said anything about"Her" laying Eggs and i see a large bump under the fan
sorry he has had it since it was about 8 to 10 inches long so i say its about 3 years old.
I'm the proud owner of 2 very healthy Bearded Dragons Sandfires of course. 1 male 1 female.
i have some experience with Iguanas but at a younger age.
i know my stuff about lizards so speak freely
anyway heres the Problem..
OKAY. So i brought it back home he had it in a 30 gallon for one... and only with 1 heat rock which is about stupid and just 1 T8 18 inch tube bulb.. not UVB by the way....
i myself am shocked that this Iguana is Alive and is this Large..
but its sick now as i type this. i've had it for about 1 week now
ive soaked it in the bath with warm about about 88 Degrees
for about 30min and put him in one of my spare 55 gallons the bath was the same day i brought him home. very sweet iguana but has its bad moments maybe due to it being sickly
so heres whats happing
sneezing. with Flem all over the basking side of the cage
no Bowl for about a week and a half he said "SHE" did a couple days before he gave him to me
and seems very slow moving and sad to say. I have a 100W bulb and still the heat rock for heating. tank is at 83F.
however it can still eat like there is no tomorrow
sorry i keep going on.. i have to VENT about this makes me a little mad. i guess you can say i saved its life. so on that
ask me some questions and parameters you need to know to help solve whats going one with it
thanks
