Hello. I have an iguana - Komodo that is 73 - 75 centimetres long withe the tail and he is 14 - 15 months old. When I asked some people that have big experiance withe exotic animals, they have two difrent answers. One tell it is female and the other that the iguana is male. Pleace can you tell me what gender is my iguana. When he sees his reflection in the mirror he gets very inflated and he gets very mad like he hate the reflection very much and want to dominate him.His Bobs are not simplel like up and down, he have big show prograram withe difrent moves. But he don't go to bite or push in the mirror only acting. He have verry masive tail and verry big structure
Sorry for the bad language. English is not my mothers tongue.
From your pics I would say definitely female as the femoral pores on the legs are very small and I don't see a hemipenal bulge at the base of the tail. I have a female that acts more male than my male does. She shudder bobs and will attack her reflection in the mirror. My male on the other hand is laid back and quite relaxed, if he gets scared he just closes his eyes and pretends the threat doesn't exist.
Thank you for the answer! I now much more abaut males, but don't know abaut the female behaviour and agression. Some seys that the male are bader then the female dey are withe much more temper and they acting nervously and when you want to caress them they have to be in mood if they are not they can be agresiv.
