Here is a picture of Turbo I took today. I'm not sure how to do more than one picture in a single thread. I don't have a photobucket or anything like that, but if there is a way to do more than one attachment please fill in thank you and I hope you enjoy the pictures ;D Attachments:

First day I got him. He has a lot more stuff in there now. I added some branches and some vines for him since then and he loves laying on them. Attachments:

Thank you and trust me I'm not experienced either. This is my first iguana too. How in the world did her tail just fall off? I don't get that

Honestly I was stroking it and I guess the little pressure combined with the stress made her make it pop off. Honestly their tails are meant to come off but it came off at the maximum place it could but thank god it happened when she was only a few months old. She is now 19 months old and a little under 3 feet, so not that much damage except the fact the tail is now black and really rough.

I Love Turbo's adorable little face ;D It's amazing how small they start out and how big they end up. I noticed you have bark in the bottom of his enclosure; it may not be a big deal right now but when he gets a bit bigger he could end up accidentally eating a piece because they flick their tongues often to smell. Once something is in their mouth they can have hard time getting it out and once it's swallowed it can get get lodged inside and cause problems. I've seen this happen with coins but it is also possible for things like bark. I don't mean to put you in any dismay - just sharing my two cents Also - slifer; I hadn't noticed your iguana's tail was regrown but it happens not uncommonly. I've seen multiple iguanas with regrown tails because of various reasons. Sometimes there is an obvious reason, like someone pulling on his/her tail and also sometimes there doesn't seem to be much cause then just stress (and little guys get stressed easily all the time).

Ya I do need to change the bark out with something different. I think I may get the fake grass stuff. Like the stuff you hit off when you go to the driving range. Not the mossy stuff. I picked up some wood today for Turbo to climb on for when I take him out. I will also use it for when I build his cage one of these weekends. I put these logs in the back of my Caliber SRT4. They are taller than me !!! I also moved his home, I hope it doesn't stress him out too much. How long should I keep him in there and let him get use to his new location? Attachments:

If Turbo isn't bothered by the change then take him out when ever if he is a bit stressed then wait until he calms down and when you hold him you can bring him to familiar places.

Alright I'll try that if he gets stressed, but so far he's been good. I just couldn't believe that I got those logs home. I washed them off and cleaned them so they won't have nasty stuff on them

A question. What else can you use instead of bark or newspaper. I want to use something that they are accustomed too. Like dirt or something like that. I might go with fake grass but idk yet

I have a pillow on Gwen's top sleeping shelf, towels on the ramps, and linoleum on her main shelf with her tub. I don't recommend bark but I have has AstroTurf (fake grass) with my previous iguana and it was generally a hassle. I didn't know that iguanas like to go to the bathroom in water so all I had was a little drinking water dish I had to take out the AstroTurf and clean the tank every time she pooped on it - OR - when she pooped partially in her water dish and partially on the AstroTurf in which she usually spilled water everywhere. I would preferably recommend linoleum or news paper but AstroTurf or carpet would also be ok (just make sure if they start fraying to take out the little bits and fix the fray or get a new piece).
