Aw Spree I like how the first few spikes on her back really stick out. Does she like baths? I know some iguanas will climb right into the tub to have a bath but my Gwen always fights to not be put down. Once I am able to get her in the tub she calms down and enjoys a bath but she would rather that I just continue holding her silly iguana. I commend you for your pristine white socks; that is not an easy feat. No pun intended. ;D

Lol just changed them an hour before lol, Spree is partial to baths she like them after she realizes that no one is trying to kill her, but since my bath drains I have to put water on time and time again so it's bitter sweet. And yes her top spikes do stick out lol, as I did not know the harness I first used caused some damage. Oh well lessen learned! Now just trying the slow method of training as some people told me to just grab her and it works for some igs, but seeing as I have been doing it for 2 years I am now trying the slow method I figure it's a lot better than just keeping on with the fast grab method. Any advice would be welcomed in this field.

I pick up Gwendolyn slowly, I've never tried to pick her up quickly but I would imagine that it would cause high stress from the start. When I go to pick Gwen up I slowly move my hand around in front of her eyes (well 'eye' I suppose because their eyes are on different sides of their heads) until she closes her eye then I pet her head/neck for a little while and then I slowly pick her up. I don't know if that will work with Spree - that might just be a thing between Gwendolyn and myself - but its worth a shot. She usually gets startled when she doesn't feel any support under her but calms down when I put my arm under her for support and hold her close so she doesn't feel like she is being held out in mid-air. I think Gwen's previous owner used a harness with her because she doesn't really have any full spikes across where a harness would go on her back, which you can see in the picture below.
