Hello and welcome to Iguana Zone. I need some more info before I can make suggestions. How old is your iguana, how big is he, and how big is his cage? They like to be able to hide when they are young and at any age there are some colors that some iguanas just don't like or find threatening. Red, orange, and yellow are three common colors that some iguanas don't like and can get aggressive towards. Your may or may not have an issue with them. Iguanas are also generally startled by fast movements, don't like loud noises, hate having their tails touched, and get stressed out by other animals. Could you post some pictures? I would love to see him I hope I'm able to help you out! Oh, and what is your iguana's name? -Jenna

If he is still young then he is probably going through what I call "teenage years." It's normal; they test their boundaries and have an attitude. Although it is normal I know that in no way is it fun Having a place for him to feel like he is out of your view is good. This morning I was trying to come up with ideas to help you out and I think if you spend time sitting near his cage just reading, surfing the internet, playing video games (quietly) or something like that he may become adjusted to your presence and realize you are not a threat. I would recommend not picking him up for now until he no longer sees you as such a threat, unless you need to; like cleaning his enclosure, taking him to the vet, etc. There may be other ways of dealing with his attitude but this is how I would handle it. Please try it out and let us know how it goes -Jenna
