Hello again Your image didn't show up. You can either add an attachment from your computer (you have to click the "reply" button at the bottom right corner of this message [or the last message] instead of just using the Quick Reply at the bottom of the page) or you can add pictures by creating an online account with a host such as photobucket. once you upload an image to Photobucket you can use the image code they provide to copy and paste into the text portion of your message. I think that was pretty clear but here is another reference: tesa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pictures&action=display&thread=2358If you still can't figure it out then let me know where you get stuck and I'll try to help you -Jenna

Now I can see the pictures ;D I'm surprised he can balance on such a small branch! If my iguana, Gwendolyn, tried doing something like that she would probably fall off, ha ha. Is it usually warm where you live? It's usually much too cold most of the year where I live to bring Gwen outside.
Thanks for posting the pictures!
-Jenna

Iguanas can be found in Florida but not in most of the United States (too cold). Even the iguanas that are wild in Florida can't be kept as pets because we have laws prohibiting us from keeping wild animals. Baby iguanas can be purchased at most large pet stores though - which turns out to be pretty sad because most people who buy the iguanas are not prepared to take care of them so most of the iguanas die at a young age.

Natural sunlight is the best Just curious - do you feed him before you take him outside? UVB in sunlight helps iguanas absorb calcium from their diet so if you feed him after you bring him in then he might not absorb as much calcium as he should. I'm not 100% sure of my logic but it sounds plausible. Blue iguanas are just a genetic color variation of regular green iguanas: same species just a less common color like the "red" iguanas. There might be a few blues in the wild in the US but I think they are more likely from other parts of the world. Iguanas from various parts of the world have slightly different coloration. I have never actually seen a blue iguana in person but I have seen pictures that people have posted online of their blue iguanas. I don't know how much they sell for in the US because I have never seen one for sale. $950 is a lot! I would never spend that much on an iguana but some people might. -Jenna

tq for your reply... i think the blue iguana will be the same color as green iguana when they are matured... the blue tone might be dull when they are getting older and getting orange or dark brown color... so the result same as common green iguana... i think so....
about my doby... i usually feed him first before he get basking by himself then after 2 to 3 hours he will go back to his home...

Red iguanas usually turn brown when they mature but I think blue iguanas actually keep their color - at least some do.
