Aw, Wilma's a cutie I really like the shade of green on her face. For a second I wondered where her dewlap was but then I realized it was there - just out of sight. How different are their personalities? I hope their nose's get better soon! -Jenna

Gwendolyn is definitely not a professional model; she always closes her eyes when I bring out the camera. I get lucky sometimes when she not only has her eyes open but it also turns out to be a good picture. She occasionally postures and head bobs at me but she calms down quickly. She is a very calm and tolerant iguana. I used to cut Gwen's squash into small bits but she didn't want to spend the time picking up the small pieces so I eventually started cutting her squash into thin strips - she takes the time to eat it now. Three of her favorite foods are bananas, strawberries, and soaked wheat bread. She loves being sprayed with water so when I do that I take the time to also spray some in her mouth. She doesn't take the time to drink much so I help her out with hydration she doesn't always appreciate that though. -Jenna Attachments:

She's awesome. I'm enjoying watching how mine are progressing. Neither of them run away from me anymore. I still haven't had either take a piece of food from my hand, but they will open up and lick a piece of banana over and over. If I stick it in their mouth inbetween licks, they will then take it, but I'm seeing progression every week. I'm working every night waiting on them to take a piece of food. Maybe I should try in the morning when they run to the food bowl. haha Fred does slow head bobs at me sometimes. I love how the personalities are coming out. If there is one thing about having them that I think is the most important, it's giving them stability and letting them make a routine prior to messing with them and doing research, research, research. They both run to their food bowls at a certain time, do a walk around their enclosure at a certain time, bask at a certain time, about all day and when the timers go off, their eyes are shut and they are in their spots asleep.

I have never been able to get Gwen to eat anything out of my hands. She definitely prefers to eat on her own. Gwen has her routines also; she usually sleeps in for a few minutes after I turn her lights on and she likes to spend part of her day on a dresser right beside her enclosure. I have to make sure she doesn't spend too much time there though, there are a few days where she will spend hours upon hours away from her basking spot if I don't come over and nudge her back into her enclosure. At night usually as soon as I turn off the lights she goes up to her top shelf, lays on her big pillow, sticks her nose in the corner, and goes to sleep. Iguanas sure do like their routines -Jenna
