My female Squiggy has not eaten in 3 day...I was worried about maybe an impaction, because her poop was very little, bean like. I also felt a small lump in her lower abdomen followed by a smaller one, so I gave her some mineral oil and she's poop little at a time...her urates are white, she bright eyed and active I bump her temps up to about 88 and keeping her well hydrated....I don't think shes gravid but she is 10 1/2 in SVL she don't look like she got eggs.....
Do you guys have any suggestion? Thanks

What do you mean you bump her temps up to 88? An ig should have a basking spot of 95 degrees.

Is there anything in the environment that would make you think impaction? If you try to force something through that's too big you can cause more damage than good. Intestinal perforations are often fatal.

Well I did find out that my girls fed her some monster diet dry...I only give it to her once a week and I wet it down on the food.....She look good bright in color green, active, no digging or anything like that, she is pooping but just now it's about the size of a beebee, her urates are white I've been keeping her well hydarated...she just won't eat....

If she's not eating - she won't be pooping any large amounts. They'll keep getting smaller - just as you're describing. I doubt it was the pellets. If you're keeping her well hydrated they will break down work their way through.
Do you have her on a newspaper substrate?

No I use paper towels... I still feel the lump in her abdomen it's right in the center just above the vent...I don't think she's gravided but like I stated before this female thing is all new to me... I think I'll call my vet and run her down there and get an xray done better to be safe than sorry....Thanks I'll keep you posted....

If she had eggs you would most certainly know it. They get VERY fat and uncomfortable. It looks like they swallow marbles. I think a vet appt. is your best bet right now. Until you know what it is it's impossible to know what you're dealing with.

Ok Here we go.....
1. How long are they usually gravid?
2. Do I need to be worried about her not eating...I do know to keep her hydrated... and up on her calcium
Gosh my mind is going a hundred miles per hour right now... I can't think right now..........I went to the green ig site and read, read & read.....I guess I should have done my homework earlier. I didn't expect this to come so soon..it caught me off guard......
Well thanks in advance.....Annie

LOL...take a breath - you have time. 1. How long are they usually gravid? About 8 wks give or take.2. Do I need to be worried about her not eating...I do know to keep her hydrated... and up on her calcium Most definitely and absolutely... ;D. She will be her own timetable for when she decides to slow down on eating, so it's your job to make sure she is eating the best foods nutritionally. I would suggest strictly staple foods and no occasional stuff or treats. Add the calcium every day - just a very light dusting. Keep fresh water in there at all times. This may be one of the only times you will actually see your ig drink. Towards the end she will eat very little - if at all. The last two weeks is usually the worst. This is when you feed her anything she can get into her thats hydrating - such as watermelon and cantaloupe. She should have a good, fatty tail base. This is what she has that for. She will be well stored if she's as well taken care of as I think she is... . Ok what do I need for a lay box...help, help help...LOL...I've read so many thing on what to use and what not to use...I'm confused... I should have started with this one!! There are several right ways to do a dog box. Some go out and get a large tote and fill it with a medium that will stand up to and iguana digging - yet still hold some formation. Here - use Preparing The Egging Box - by Melissa Kaplan instead. Make sure you pay attention to her mention of heat for the nesting box. Many people forget this part in their excitement and the ig still doesn't use it. The heat really makes the difference to using the box - or her firing them off the top shelf... ;D
