Thanks Prism, She's my baby girl...... ;D
We didn't do much digging today a little bit this morning, quiet most of the day....She didn't want to take her slurry today so I didn't force it, but she did drink some water and I gave her some pedialyte I want to make sure she stays well hydrated..She's starting to drop a little bit of weight I can tell in her hip bones, she is still bright eyed and alert and active..
I do have a question...Since she doesn't want to take the slurries, should I add some calcium powder too her drinks? I don't want to over do the calcium but I want to make sure she gets enough..I don't need MBD at this point...
Thanks agian.............Annie

Wow, Sounds like quite the adventure you're going through. I don't know much about the female iguanas laying habits but it sounds like you've got some great hands on advice. That pic with her peeking out of her lay box is ADORABLE! SOOOOo cute! She's one beautiful iguana. Good luck over the next few weeks.

Hi Everyone,Just a little update Well no eggs yet, but her belly is getting huge you can see the eggs in her....... But I've got to tell you guy something that is really strange.... OK I have been syringe feeding her the slurry and she was doing very well with it, then she didn't want it any more so a started her on some baby food and she loves it..... But the funny thing is I was letting her free roam to get exercise (me keeping a close eye on her of coarse) and she would go over and just hang on Squirts cage ( Squirt is my baby iggy well he's really not a baby, he just turn 1 yr last wk)Squiggy just loves Squirt when I have them out they are always together.......Well when I would put Squiggy back in her enclosure, she got so restless clawing at the door going back and forth nonstop. I was getting really worried that she was going to stress herself out and she doesn't need that right now.....so I'd let her back out and she'd go right over to Squirt's cage again and hang on the door.Well I decided to try something I put her back and I took Squirt and put him in with her......OMG they are best buddies they get along so good, she actually started eating on her own with Squirt...they eat out of the same bowl.. she's been eating for 3 days now.I couldn't believe it she hasn't eaten in two week on her own...She seems to be so happy that Squirt is with her, she is so relaxed and non stressed....It is so cute to see them together, they eat, sleep and bask together.... Don't worry I watch them like a hawk.......Have you guys ever heard of anything like this before? She still goes down and gets in her lay box and digs but nothing yet...... Here's a couple of pictures of her and Squirt basking I'll keep you updated...so far so good... ;D

Yes - actually. I have heard of this. While a female I had taken in years ago was rehabbing (though in the same room with Zair), when I let Z out he would go directly to Icecube's enclosure, crawl on top and lay there. So much so that I ended up placing his lights over where he camped out there. After 3 months I did what everyone told me to be cautious of - I put them together. For 1 1/2 yrs they lived together wonderfully - until one bad breeding season. Z began to strip the flesh from Icecube's tail trying to mate with her. She had bite marks on her neck. I had to place her in the bath tub with her lights for recovery since her rehab cage was already occupied with someone else. She now lives nicely in middle TN. I'm glad she's eating now, but all it takes is a flash for something horrible to happen...

Thanks Prism, I'm going separated them after or maybe right before she lays her eggs....She's quiet and content with Squirt with her right now, so I don't want to up set the apple cart if you know what I mean....But I do keep a very close eye on them..even if I'm not home my Dad or John (my husband) watch them.....maybe I need a spy cam for them...LOL... And yes Brad I do have my hands full right now...I think one of my Water Dragons is gravid now......OH God help me I'm pulling out my hair with all these females.......I have 4 water dragons 2 males & 2 females and I have 4 iggy's 2 males & 2 females.... Hopefully this summer I might get a pair of Australian water dragons, they are so pretty..I'm going to start breeding my WD's (water dragons) There aren't too many captive bred WD breeders here in California, so I'm hoping to start..Not going to breed my iggys right now because there are way too many homeless and abused iggys out there from people not doing their research before getting one of these beautiful reptiles..They see a cute little baby iggy in the pet store and buy it not realizing how much care goes into these guys and how BIG they get....ok I'll stop. I get rambling some time and don't know when to stop.... But hey Thanks guys....I'll keep you posted....

Yay!!!! You dont have to worry about 2, 1 is enough to keep you busy/stressed. Every day I come on here with hopes that she's laid eggs! One day, and then you can go through your day and not worry...something to look forward to!
